Privacy Policy
This policy explains how English in the News Studio (the "Studio"), the production tool behind the English in the News YouTube channel, collects, uses, stores and deletes data. The Studio is operated by Tarcio Diniz, Campina Grande, Brazil.
YouTube API Services
The Studio uses YouTube API Services. By using the Studio you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Who uses the Studio
The Studio is a private tool. Its only user is the channel owner, who signs in with his own Google Account and authorizes access to his own YouTube channel. It does not offer sign in to the public and does not access anyone else's account.
What data the Studio accesses
With the owner's authorization, through Google OAuth, the Studio accesses:
- the channel's basic information (channel ID, title, description and keywords);
- videos, thumbnails and playlists that the Studio uploads or organizes on that channel;
- YouTube Analytics reports for that channel and its videos, such as views, watch time, average view duration, subscribers gained and, if the channel is monetized, estimated revenue.
The Studio does not collect data about viewers of the channel. Analytics reports are aggregated numbers provided by YouTube and do not identify individual people.
How the data is used
The data is used only to run the channel: to upload and schedule videos, set thumbnails, keep the channel page and playlists up to date, and measure how episodes perform so the next ones can be planned. The data is not sold, not used for advertising and not shared with anyone except the service providers listed below.
Service providers
To plan episodes, the Studio sends channel performance numbers to the AI model providers that power its planning assistants, currently Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini). They process the data only to produce answers for the Studio.
Storage and security
Data is stored only on the owner's own computer. The OAuth refresh token is kept in the operating system's encrypted keychain, and analytics numbers are kept in local files. There is no public server or database that holds this data.
Retention and deletion
Stored YouTube API data is refreshed or deleted at least every 30 days. When access is revoked, all stored YouTube API data, including the refresh token, is deleted within 30 days.
You can revoke the Studio's access to your Google Account at any time on the Google security settings page. To ask for the deletion of any data, email tarciodiniz0@gmail.com.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies or tracking. The Studio does not place cookies on any device.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
